When he finally received it, he pointed at Kunis and quipped, “This is my bodyguard.” This is not the first time Kunis has busted out Russian in public

This blog post was written by Scott Edward. When asked in Russian why Timberlake was acting instead of making more music, Kunis took offense and shot back in her native tongue. “Why movies? Why not?” Kunis testily replied. “What kind of question is that? Why are you here?” While the room erupted with laughter, Timberlake could do nothing but sit there dumbfounded until the translation was relayed to him via an earpiece. When he finally received it, he pointed at Kunis and 카지노 총판 모집 quipped, “This is my bodyguard.” This is not the first time Kunis has busted out Russian in public. During a 2008 press conference for the action film “Max Payne” at Comic-Con, an audience member asked what the Russian translation to a well-known expletive was. “Friends With Benefits” is the latest in Kunis’ burgeoning A-list film career which came about with her well-received role in the 2008 comedy “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and the Oscar-winning “Black Swan” opposite Natalie Portman. Across the scattered farm towns, locals have formed councils to remove rubble, restore utilities and funnel supplies to fighters in Aleppo

(AP) AZAZ, Syria – Residents of this north Syrian border town like to snap photos of their children atop the tank parked downtown, one of more than a dozen captured or destroyed by rebels in the battles last month that “liberated” the area from President Bashar Assad’s army. Across the street in air-conditioned offices once occupied by Assad’s Baath party, a new political order is emerging. Local rebels have formed committees to fix power lines, fire up bakeries and staff the nearby border crossing with Turkey. They also run security patrols and a prison with some 60 captives. Two men were executed by firing squad recently after a judge and Islamic clerics found them guilty of murder. “We run a state system here,” said Samir Hajj Omar, the silver-haired former teacher who heads the rebel political office for Azaz, a town of 35,000. “We’re enforcing the law.” In recent months, Syria’s rebels have extended control over a large swath of territory in the northeastern corner of the country after forcing the army from town after town in a string of bloody street battles. As a result, for the first time in Syria’s 17-month conflict, rebels have a cohesive enclave in which they can move and organize with unprecedented freedom, plus a long stretch of the border with Turkey key for moving out refugees and smuggling in weapons. They also...

(CBS News) UNITED NATIONS – Imagine: The Iranian U.N. Ambassador grooving to “All the Single Ladies” with Beyonce, at the same General Assembly podium where Col. Muammar Qaddafi once rambled on for hours and Nikita Khrushchev once pounded his shoe. Well, not exactly. Beyonce WILL be there tonight. It is not clear which ambassadors will attend (the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice, is on her way to the Olympics’ closing ceremony), but what we do know is that Beyonce will sing “I Was Here” to honor World Humanitarian Day on August 19. A music video of Friday’s event, produced by Ridley Scott & Associates, directors Kenzo Digital and Sophie Miller and the award-winning advertising agency Droga5, will be filmed of tonight’s performance. The objective: To get 1 billion people to view the video – and learn about the campaign. World Humanitarian Day Adding to the Beyonce glow will be other celebrities: American film producer Harvey Weinstein, Sean “Puffy” Combs (otherwise known as P. Ditty), designer Kenneth Cole, and some relatives of famous politicians, including Lauren Bush (the granddaughter of Bush 41 and niece of Bush 43). World Humanitarian Day was created to mark the anniversary of the August 19, 2003 bombing of the U.N. offices in Baghdad, which killed 22 people. The event is being organized by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and Valerie Amos, the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs. “I hope everyone will pledge to complete at least one humanitarian action – however great or small – through whd-iwashere.org, said Amos. “Together we can create an unprecedented awareness of the plight of people affected by crises around the world.” World Humanitarian Day spokesperson Kirsten Mildren told CBS News it is an occasion to honor “all humanitarian aid workers who have died, but it is also about people helping their communities after a disaster. Syria is obviously a priority right now, but this is a day to highlight small acts around the world, good deeds.” But, we wonder, will this normally staid group of diplomats shake a bit, dancing to the sounds of Beyonce, who looked quite conservative herself when the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-actress met with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at rehearsal? With deadlock in the Security Council on Syria, some are wondering if this could bring diplomats together. Mildren said, “I can’t imagine that anyone won’t be completely moved by this event. The General Assembly has never seen anything like this before. You will definitely see people up on their feet.”
