(CBS) Casey Anthony, the Florida woman acquitted last month of killing her 2-year-old daughter, is the most hated person in America, according to a new poll released Wednesday. The poll, conducted by E-Poll Market Research, found that the 25-year-old was more disliked than Paris Hilton, O.J. Simpson and “Octomom” Nadya Suleman. Reuters reports that 53 percent of those questioned in the poll said they were aware of Anthony and her story, and 94 percent of those people said they disliked her. “The Hills” personality Spencer Pratt came in second in the “total dislike” category. E-Poll’s E-Score Celebrity poll is conducted weekly, according to its website, ranking more than 6,000 celebrities based on 46 different attributes. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the assault. A coalition statement says the three troops died Wednesday morning in the province of Kunar. It provided no further details, though initial reports said the attack targeted a NATO foot patrol near the headquarters of the provincial government. NATO does not confirm the nationalities of slain troops until the families have been notified. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid says two of the group’s fighters targeted a NATO patrol in Kunar. He claims they killed several foreign troops. So far, 212 U.S. service personnel have been killed in Afghanistan in 2012, according to the independent I-casualties organization. That figure does not include the three unconfirmed U.S. deaths reported on Wednesday. In 2011, 418 U.S. service personnel were killed in the country.

In an interview with BBC’s “Newsnight” program, the ex-wife of former Beatle Paul McCartney claimed that in 2001 she was called by a senior editorial figure with the Trinity Mirror group of newspapers about a fight she’d had with McCartney, her then-boyfriend. Mills quoted the journalist as telling her: “Oh, I hear you’ve had a big argument with your boyfriend. “And I said: ‘Why would you know this?’ And he started quoted verbatim the messages from my machine.” Mills said that when she accused the journalist of hacking into her phone and threatened to call the police, the journalist admitted that the story had been obtained by eavesdropping and pledged not to publish it. Mills named the journalist in her interview, but the BBC bleeped out his name, citing legal reasons.
