NEW YORK — DMX and his attorney feel that the artist best expresses himself through his rap songs, even in court. DMX is counting on a little rap to help him beat the rap at his tax evasion sentencing. Attorney Murray Richman said in a court document made public on Monday that he wants to play a few DMX compositions at Thursday’s sentencing in Manhattan for the rapper also known as Earl Simmons. The lawyer said the music will help U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff “understand him genuinely in his voice” since DMX may be too emotional to speak. DMX, 47, has been incarcerated since his bail was revoked in January by Rakoff, who scolded him for failing to obey bail conditions. In Geneva, a U.N. investigation said Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces and pro-government militiamen were responsible for war crimes during a May bloodbath in the village of Houla that killed more than 100 civilians, nearly half of them children. It also said rebels were blamed for war crimes in at least three other killings. The report by the U.N. Human Rights Council said the scale of the Houla carnage indicated “involvement at the highest levels” of Syria’s military and government. (CBS/AP) NEW YORK – Gap is looking at online ads, video shorts about denim fashion, and big-city taco trucks to help it regain its market share. The nation’s largest clothing chain rolled out a marketing campaign on Monday that features a series of 30-to-90-second online documentary-style videos centered around the goings on at its denim design studio in Los Angeles called the Pico Creative Loft. The campaign features 30 videos that show shots of the airy, loft-like denim design studio with its hardwood floors and 바카라사이트 exposed brick walls. In the videos, Gap workers talk about the process of making certain jean styles and washes and why they love their jobs. The videos will air on a dedicated Facebook page, YouTube, on sites like Hulu, and embedded in banner ads elsewhere. The campaign also includes print ads and “Pico de Gap” taco trucks with celebrity chefs that will hit New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco beginning Monday and broadcast their location via Twitter.
