(AP) ROME – The captain of the shipwrecked Costa Concordia said in an interview broadcast Tuesday that he was distracted by a phone conversation shortly before the cruise liner crashed into a reef off an Italian island and capsized, killing 32 people. Francesco Schettino described the collision to private Italian TV channel Canale 5 as a “banal accident” in which “destiny” played a role. (CBS/AP) EL-ARISH, Egypt – Egyptian security officials said they will not give in to demands of a Bedouin man who took two Americans and their local translator 원주출장샵 hostage in the Sinai Peninsula. Rev. Michel Louis, an American woman, and their Egyptian guide were taken off a bus on a road between Cairo and Mount Sinai while on a church trip Friday. CBS Station WBZ has identified the American woman as Lissa Alphonse of Everett, Mass. The hostage-taker, Jirmy Abu-Masuh, has said he will not free the two Boston natives until his uncle is released from jail. He said his uncle was jailed for refusing to pay the police a bribe. Abu-Masuh also vowed to take more hostages, of different nationalities, if his demands were not met. The Google Inc.-owned YouTube declined to comment. It’s YouTube policy to remove accounts after three copyright violations. Reports have suggested that the infringing video was a recently uploaded clip of Gaga’s performance on Fuji TV.
