(CBS) Comic-Con starts next week in San Diego, Calif., on Thursday, July 21, and runs through the weekend (and there’s a “Preview Night,” Wednesday, July 20). The event is a big deal (to paraphrase Vice President Joe Biden) and now draws more than 100,000 people a year. Here’s a sampling of what you can expect. He was 68. Ghanaian state-run television stations GTV and TV3 broke into regular programming to announce the president’s death. Atta Mills served as president as Ghana began grappling with how to deal with its newfound oil wealth from offshore fields discovered in the last five years. The country, whose economy has been fueled by gold, cocoa and timber exports in the past, hopes to put the oil money to good use, mindful of how nearby Nigeria suffered through military dictatorships and widespread corruption over its oil wealth. (AP) TORONTO – A reckless exchange of gunfire at a crowded outdoor 속초출장업소 party in Toronto killed two young people late Monday night at a barbecue in the city’s east end. At least 19 others, including an infant, were injured after bullets from more than one gun were sprayed into the crowd of more than 200 people. “It is the most serious crime of its kind that has ever taken place in the city of Toronto,” said Police Chief Bill Blair. Police made multiple appeals for witnesses to contact them as they began to pull together descriptions for what appeared to be multiple shooters.. Police said they had one “person of interest” in custody and were looking for other suspects. The incident took place before 11 p.m. at the barbecue. “An altercation broke out among some individuals and there was an exchange of gunfire. During that gunfire a number of innocent bystanders were struck,” said Blair. “It’s a very shocking event, a lot of people were injured tonight.” The two killed in the shooting were a teenage girl and a man in his 20s, officials said.
