(CBS) Royalty, Hollywood and fashion collided on Saturday night at the BAFTA Brits to Watch gala in Los Angeles. Prince William and Duchess Catherine were in attendance at the black-tie affair, along with a host of celebrities from both sides of the Atlantic, all dressed by some of fashion’s biggest names. (CBS) With all the Interwebs brouhaha shoved in our faces each day, it can be easy to forget that people watch television. But remember: People watch television. And Diane Sawyer’s interview with Jaycee Dugard is  what they were watching  on Sunday. Sawyer’s primetime special was the most watched summer news magazine special in seven years, reports The Hollywood Reporter. More than 14 million people tuned in. The rest of the Sunday summer ratings? Not great. It’s re-run time so maybe that’s to be expected. ABC cleaned up with Sawyer’s interview. Scott Moore, of the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Musa Qala, Afghanistan, posted a video on YouTube last month asking the actress to be his date to the event on Nov. 18. (Watch the video below.)
