Sergio Ramos was sent off as Real Madrid beat Deportivo la Coruña 3-0 at the Riazor on Sunday night. he picked up two yellows cards along with a red to make it 23 for his career. That is enough to see him tied atop the list in LaLiga for expulsions with Pablo Bequeme Leverkusen Trikot Alfaro and Xavier Aguado with 18 in LaLiga. It also means he will miss the next game against Valencia on Sunday night at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ramos saw the first yellow after slapping Fabian Schär and was lucky at that point not to see the red. Gonzalez Gonzalez issued two yellow to the players but had he seen what Ramos did, he might have been a little more harsh on the Real Madrid skipper. With the game in the bag at 3-0, Ramos jumped in the air with substitute Borja Valle and was adjudged to have caught the player with an elbow or Bequeme Bayern München Trikot at the least played the man instead of the ball. For that, he received his second yellow along with his marching order.
Emilio Butragueño, the director of Insititutional Relations for Real Madrid, confirmed after the game that the club would appeal the second yellow as they felt it was very harsh.
