(CBS) It’s a tale of two seasons in the entertainment business this week. TV tonight focuses on Halloween, but the movie studios, record labels and book publishers are all dreaming of a green Christmas.

“Dancing with the Stars,” “How I Met Your Mother” (with Katie Holmes as guest) and other Monday TV shows are pulling out the stops with Halloween themes tonight. They will be getting some competition from the debut on NBC of Brian William’s newsmagazine, “Rock Center.”

Aside from that, the only TV highlight this week is a new season of “Bones,” beginning on Fox Thursday night.

It will begin to sound a lot like Christmas the next day when holiday albums from Carole King (“A Holiday Carole”), Susan Boyle (“Someone To Watch Over Me”), Justin Bieber (“Under the Mistletoe”), and Libera (“The Christmas Album”) hit store shelves.

This week also marks the arrival of two eagerly anticipated releases – Florence + the Machine’s sophomore album “Ceremonials” and the Lou Reed-Metallica collaboration “Lulu” on Tuesday. Country star Miranda Lambert’s fifth studo album, “Four the Record,” comes out Tuesday, as does Megadeth’s “Thirteen.”

Christmas is also coming to the big screen this week: “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas” with John Cho and Kal Penn reprising their roles, opens on Friday. The movie, coming out six years after the last Harold & Kumar comedy, also stars Neil Patrick Harris, Patton Oswalt and Danny Trejo.

Also opening Friday is “Tower Heist,” Brett Ratner’s comedy about a group of working men who take revenge on a wealthy businessman who lost their savings in a Ponzi scheme. It stars Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and Casey Affleck.

Among the DVD releases Tuesday is one of the summer’s best-reviewed films, “Crazy, Stupid Love” starring Steve Carell, 구리출장안마 Ryan Gosling and Julianne Moore.

Finally, the books that will wind up in Christmas wrappings are starting to make their way to store shelves, starting with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s second book of memoirs, “No Higher Honor,” to be published Tuesday. Detailing her years in the Bush administration, it follows on the heels of memoirs by former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

Also to be published Tuesday is “Diary of a Player” by country superstar Brad Paisley. In it, the musician shows how the guitar legends of several genres – country, blues and rock ‘n’ roll – have shaped his career.

And due out Monday is a new thriller from best-selling novelist David Baldacci, “Zero Day.” His last book, “The Sixth Man,” published in April, is still on the trade paperback bestseller lists.
