(AP) CARACAS, Venezuela – President Hugo Chavez announced Thursday that Venezuelan security forces have arrested a U.S. citizen and suspect he is a mercenary who could be involved in an alleged plot to destabilize the country if the opposition’s candidate loses the upcoming presidential election. The government closed its largest Gulf coast port, Veracruz, and the smaller ports of Alvarado and Coatzacoalcos. In neighboring Tabasco state, two fishermen drowned when the stormed passed through the area, Gov. Andres Granier told reporters. (CBS/AP) SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal’s son is in jail in Southern California after police stopped him for a traffic violation and allegedly found heroin in his car. Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis said Redmond O’Neal was pulled over at about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday after an officer saw him fail to stop for a red light. Police said a search of his car uncovered the drug.
