Rosebay

Rosebay (Japanese: ユカリ Yukari) is a Pokémornithologist, and a character of the day who appeared in A Staravia is Born!.

Rosebay acted as a sort of Pokémon Ranger. Her job was to keep track of all of the Pokémon inhabiting a forest that Ash and his friends happened to be passing through on their way to Oreburgh City. She introduced herself to them and Brock quickly flirted with her before being dragged away by his Croagunk. Rosebay then invited the group along on her hike to look for bird Pokémon. She first took them to a Swablu nest and noticed that the Swablu were gone, which prompted her to recall that a lot of bird Pokémon had been going missing recently.

It was soon discovered that Team Rocket had set up a giant net in a gorge to trap the bird Pokémon. Ash’s Starly helped rescue the Pokémon, evolving into Staravia and defeating Team Rocket in the process. Rosebay thanked Staravia for his help and told Ash and his friends that the Pokémon were safe once more.

In the dub, Rosebay speaks in an English accent.

Florence

Florence (Japanese: ハンナ Hannah) is a character of the day who appeared in To Find a Fairy Flower!. She lives in Calanthe Town.

Florence lived together with her husband Grey and their Flabébé in peace. One day, Florence fell ill while she was watering the flowers in their garden. She was quickly taken to the Calanthe Town hospital by ambulance. This saddened Flabébé, who had always enjoyed Florence’s company, and she left to search for her. While Flabébé was looking through the window of the hospital Florence was staying in, a strong gust blew her away, and her flower was run over by a passing car and destroyed. Grey was unable to retrieve her, and as such, Florence went into a state of emotional despair despite her treatment being successful.

One day, Grey met Ash and his friends, who found Flabébé after it befriended Bonnie and attached herself to the girl’s hair. Grey explained to them how important Flabébé was to Florence and how it needed a new flower to survive. The group decided to go look for this flower and return Flabébé to Florence. They eventually managed to find it and went to the hospital Florence was staying in, where Flabébé happily reunited with her. This made Florence very happy, and she felt as if she would recover completely very soon. She deeply thanked the group as they continued on their way.

Sayer

Sayer (Japanese: 親方 the Master) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime. He is a resident of Twinleaf Town.

Sayer first appeared in Strategy Begins at Home!, where he served as the manager of the Twinleaf Festival. He became increasingly frustrated by Izzy and Cara’s indecisiveness, and often required Johanna’s input to make a final decision. He hired Team Rocket to fish for Goldeen so that they could be used for a fishing game during the festival. However, Sayer was disappointed by their efforts and eventual disappearance in A Faux Oak Finish!.

In Historical Mystery Tour!, Sayer had Brock run one of his booths after one of the stallholders fell ill. He then served as the referee for the Festival Battle Challenge in Challenging a Towering Figure!.

Sayer was usually depicted as being under a lot of stress, though he was impressed with Team Rocket’s successful selling of Octillery snacks, since they made good profits. He even hoped to hire the trio for the following year’s festival.
