Are we gonna add the whole redemtion thing? That’s kinda important. PokemonTrainer7738 21:38, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Gengar’s moves as teammate.

This may not be important, but when he is tagging along with the team, Gengar’s moves are Leer, Taunt, Scratch, and Quick Attack. Could this be put in the article? Sneaking from page to page… It’s the page-editing purple ghost… Gengarzilla! 17:46, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Teleport Gem

It is strongly implied that Gengar assisted Xatu and Alakazam in crafting the Teleport Gem that the player uses first to go to Sky Tower, and second to rescue Latias from the Pitfall Valley. Should this be included in the line about Gengar helping the player? Xolotl (talk) 15:55, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

Decides to Save the Player?

“Towards the end of the game Gengar strangely decides to save the player after defeating the main boss.”

Where in the world did this come from?

I am fairly sure that Gengar was attempting to drag the player even deeper into the netherworld, but ended up getting lost and accidentally carried him or her out. I even have direct dialogue from the game to prove it:

Keke! ! Didn’t take much to put you down! Serves you right! Kekeke! Now, Jogos De Rpg Portugues what to do with you? I know! I’ll drag you into the dark world. That’ll do it.

Hunh? Darn it… I took the wrong path… This isn’t like me… I can’t tell which way is which… Keh! To heck with this. I’ll just ditch you here… That’s it. Good-bye to you.

This dialogue can be seen in any video of this part of the game, and it is the part “after the main boss” that is referenced in the article. If nobody is opposed to changing that sentence, I will do so. EpicDeino (talk) 23:08, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

He’s acting. Gengar outright states that it’s odd for him, so it’s clear that he’s trying to trick the player into thinking that he was dragging them further down. Ataro (talk) 00:24, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Signing Talk Pages

Although I suppose your way is all right, I should think it would be easier to simply sign with four tildes. Or, if you wanna be fancy, I could make you a signature with dancing sprites of your favorite Pokémon! –ニョロトノ666 23:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

I would like a Weavile one please? Also do you have to manually have to type it in every time, or is there a shortcut? Also, how am i meant to put the time in there? I don’t even know what UTC is, let alone try and convert my time to it.

Just type four tildes (~~~~), it’ll automatically post your username and the time/date. Much easier then typing it manually. 😀

On that note, we’ve just recently gotten a Signature Policy, so no images anymore. Pretty much everything else is fair game though, maybe you want a signature with a Weavile-like color scheme? I’m sure myself or Politoed can whip one up for you if you like. — Jïörüjï Ðērākō.> 12:04, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I would appreciate it, thanks. GT4GTR 12:07, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, let’s see. How does this look?

●GT4GTR / talk /

Just take the coding below, copy it, go to your Preferences, and paste the whole thing into the “nickname” field. (make sure to enable the “raw signatures” box right under it, or it won’t work.)

–●[[User:GT4GTR|”’GT4GTR”’]] [[User talk:GT4GTR|”/ talk /”]]

Hit Save, and you’re all set; test it out by typing four tildes here, you should see your new signature working. — Jïörüjï Ðērākō.> 12:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Anime Pokémon Genders

Unless a Pokémon’s gender can be confirmed, either by audio or by visual (the latter of which might not apply 100% of the time–there are blurbs going around how Dawn’s Pachirisu is likely female despite the fact it has the male head stripe length), it should be listed as gender unknown. “Possibly male” and the like does not cut it around here. It’s either confirmed or it’s not. –Shiningpikablu252 17:39, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Please

Slow down on editing the User: namespace. There are only four userspace edits allowed per day, and you have gone over the limit. Editing your userpage too much will lead to it being locked again. Instead of making multiple small edits, why not instead use the preview button (Alt + Shift + P) to check your edits before saving the page? Thank you. –Force Fire talk 04:45, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Again

This is your second warning. Please refrain from editing the User: namespace too rapidly, or you will lose privileges. —-KK llnn 21:37, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

It’s a new day here… (GT4GTR 21:40, 5 January 2009 (UTC))

We go by the server time, UTC. There’s a bar on the top of the page.–KK llnn 21:41, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Stop.

Do not edit the User: namespace any more. In the past, we were not allowed to edit our pages at all because of users over-editing their pages. If you edit your page any more today then the privilege for you to edit it will be removed. –RexRacer -talk 21:39, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

I didn’t even get the previous one before i edited again, and as i said in the first one i didn’t realise t was still the previous day in America. (GT4GTR 11:19, 6 January 2009 (UTC))

I meant i didn’t realise we had to go by American time (whatever time zone that is) (GT4GTR 11:37, 6 January 2009 (UTC))

The timezone is UTC. You can track the time in the clock above, beside your username. –☆Kevzo8 11:39, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

You ignored the warning. To sum up all your edits this day, you have made 10 edits. –☆Kevzo8 12:11, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

I understand, but what i’m saying is i didn’t realise i got the first one (probably because of my crappy internet connection) before i got the second one, then i suddenly had 2, and wouldn’t that be yesterday because it was over 12 hours ago and it says 12:30 (GT4GTR 12:22, 6 January 2009 (UTC))

Alright, I’ll get rid of this warning if you promise to keep within the limits of the user-space. Deal?–RexRacer -talk 12:42, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Sure, sorry about the confusion. I’m kind of new with this user space thingy (GT4GTR 12:49, 6 January 2009 (UTC))

One more thing, is there any way to check how many edits you have done? I probably won’t need it but just to be safe… Thanks (GT4GTR 13:08, 6 January 2009 (UTC))

Click the “my contributions” link on the top of the page and select the namespace User. You might, however, first want to change your timezone in the preferences to UTC. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 13:21, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, i can edit 4 times between 10:30am and 10:30am the next day local time, that’s all i need to know. I was new to this though 😀 (GT4GTR 13:37, 6 January 2009 (UTC))

Capitalize move names properly. ThunderShock, not Thundershock or thundershock, though they redirect correctly. Also, make sure not to confuse their/they’re/there, and don’t give Pokémon definitive genders unless there’s no doubt of it. For example, yes, I also think Ash’s Squirtle and Pikachu are male, but you never know… Meowth, however, is undoubtedly a male. TTEchidna 07:10, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

That’s an old habit of mind, and it’s hard to break. I know Pokémon weren’t even considered with genders back then, but I usually end up basing my gender calls on how their voices sound. Right or wrong, I just call them like I see them. Also, I don’t add links to anything in my synopsies, so any links added are not mine. Oh, and “Thundershock” is actually the way it’s spelled in the games.

About you crediting.

I know you are trying to be helpful by crediting yourself, but what’s the point? A lot like Wikipedia, Bulbapedia isn’t credited by a one person, it’s credited by many. Anyone could edit at any time (if they have account here) to fix stuff here and there. So if we all signed our names, it would be easy to see a long list, but hard to read the important text, if you see what I mean. TheBlazikenMaster 13:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I see what you mean. I guess it’s mostly because I want to leave an easy mark on each page so people can comment on the synopsies I write. It’s also so people can see any other synopsies I’ve done. I try to keep the credit small and unobtrusive, but if it’s a problem, I can take them off.

That’s unnecessery, you could just use the episode talk page if someone wants to comment on them. If you want someone to talk to you directly you can just tell them that, your credit is unneeded. TheBlazikenMaster 14:49, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

I’ll leave well enough alone with the ones I’ve already done, but I won’t add that “Synopsis by” tagline to any further synopsies I do. I do hope to continue doing them to contribute to the Pokémon Anime Project, though.

Synopses

Listen, as much as everyone appreciates you making the synopses, I have many complaints. Firstly, don’t credit yourself, you’re not supposed to. Secondly, refer to all Pokémon as ‘it’, unless explicitly stated otherwise on their articles. This means that Pikachu is an it, as is Bayleef. Thirdly, link to moves, Pokémon, and humans when writing. シンジShinjiLover,Edits 09:12, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
