According to the National Weight Control Registry, between 5% and 24% of overweight women on a normal weight cut will lose weight over the course of their lifespan. While developing my upcoming MMO, I was looking at other MMOs with similar combat mechanics but a different focus. I started talking with the developers of other MMO’s and we were discussing whether we should do something unique to our own game. The answer was the question that many MMO developers asked themselves at one point.

They could either create a more streamlined game similar to something like World of Warcraft, with the added functionality of having different classes and classes specific attributes, or they could re-imagine the combat mechanics to fit in with that game structure. In this game, however, I think that I’ve designed something totally unique.

Combat System

The weapon system in FTL is the most interesting part of this game. First of all, the ability has been completely re-worked. You’ll notice there’s a new ability and skill system within this system. This new system allows for a whole new strategy game experience, as well as an entirely new approach to combat. First of all, it eliminates the single target system that’s been around at all. What I mean by that is that you can no longer shoot enemies, but if you shoot them once, they will die instantly. As soon as you die, their hit points will be completely wiped out. I love the system I’m introducing in combat as much as anyone. I’ve played hundreds of hours in FTL and not once has I ever felt like a dead player.

To be honest, this is the coolest moment.

Instead of having to dodge bullets, you now have to think in the heat of the moment.
