Bayern Munich defender Juan Bernat described FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi as “practically unstoppable”, ahead of their Champions League semi-final first-leg on Wednesday.

The former Valencia fullback will face the daunting task of coming up against the Catalan club’s Argentinian superstar, noting that Messi is tough to keep out of seattle sounders drakter med trykk a game, but added that the Spanish giants aren’t all about Messi.

“How do you defend against Messi? He’s a very difficult player to stop indeed; he’s practically unstoppable,” he told Marca.

“He drifts infield a lot, but anyway I don’t think Barcelona are all about Messi.”

Bernat discussed Barcelona’s star-studded trio, suggesting that the Bayern defenders will have to be at their absolute best if they’re to contain them.

“They’ve got a fantastic frontline, all three of them are incredibly good and in form,” he added.

“We will have to be at the races all over the pitch.”
