Moeketsi Sekola could be set for a switch to Bidvest Wits, instead of a move to Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Free State Stars player, who is the reigning PSL top goal scorer, has been linked with a number of clubs in the league.

Sundowns have been the favourites to land Magliette Manchester City the player’s signature with Stars having been expected to sign Rodney Ramagalela in a proposed swap deal for the two clubs.

However, with Ramagalela having left Sundowns for Golden Arrows on a season-long loan deal, a move for Sekola to the Chloorkop outfit has become increasingly unlikely.

Sources close to Sundowns and Stars have told the Siya crew that the proposed deal for Sekola from Stars to Sundowns has fallen through, as a result of Ramagalela’s move to the newly promoted KwaZulu-Natal club.

It is believed that Wits are aware of the situation and are Magliette Manchester City keen to use the opportunity to enter into discussions with Stars for the 26-year-old Botshabelo-born player.

Gavin Hunt is eyeing a striker to add to his team for the 2015/16 season.

Burkina Faso international striker, Aristide Bance, will not be signing with the Braamfontein outfit, after training with the side.
