1 year agoReal Madrid could be forced to consider a shock candidate to replace Zinedine Zidane in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu dug-out, with AS reporting that former Malaga boss Michel is now in the running.

The report states that Los Blancos have already been turned down by five top coaches from their Bequeme Lyon Trikot shortlist, including Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp, Joachim Low, Massimiliano Allegri and Julian Nagelsman.

With options now seemingly running out for Florentino Perez and co., Michel would be a man who would be almost certain to accept the job if offered it and could offer a short-term alternative until Perez can work his magic and persuade the likes of Pochettino to leave their clubs.

The 55-year-old made an impressive 559 appearances for the club, scoring 134 goals, as a midfielder who dominated play but his managerial career has never reached such heights, most recently being Bequeme Juventus Trikot sacked by Malaga with the team rock bottom of LaLiga.

Before that, Michel spent time in France and Greece with Marseille and Olympiacos, respectively, having spent over two years at Getafe in his first job in senior management and just under a calendar year with Sevilla.
