(CBS) Sasha or Melanie? That’s the choice facing “So You Think You Can Dance” viewers, according to executive producer and chief judge Nigel Lythgoe.

In the middle of the Wednesday night finale performances, Lythgoe repeated his contention (he’s been saying this since the start of the Fox summer hit) that a female dancer would take the top prize – $250,000, 철원출장샵 the title of America’s Favorite Dancer and a spot in an energy drink ad campaign.

Competing for it are Melanie Moore, a contemporary dancer from Georgia; Sasha Mallory, a contemporary dancer from California; Tadd Gadduang, a Salt Lake City B-boy; and Marko Germar, a jazz dancer from Guam.

The four did a solo and four choreographed routines each in the two-hour finale, which also featured guest judges Katie Holmes and Kenny Ortega.

Holmes, the former “Dawson’s Creek” star obviously loves dance – she’s a founder of the Dizzy Feet scholarship foundation – but her comments and criticisms were no more pointed than those of most other guest judges this season. Certainly, they couldn’t compare with the on-target commentary of Lady Gaga.

Ortega, meanwhile, is the director and choreographer of the 1980s dance classic “Dirty Dancing” and helmed the “High School Musical” franchise and the “Michael Jackson: This Is It” movie. When it comes to dancing, he knows what he is talking about.

The highlight of his appearance was his back-and-forth with host Cat Deeley about the “Dirty Dancing” remake he is working on next year. After Melanie performed a contemporary piece about unrequited love, Ortega said he would “push himself to the front of the line” to have a chance to work with her.

Deeley picked up on this and pointed to his upcoming remake, asking whether there might be a part for Melanie in it. His response: “Any day of the week.” It set both women into screaming and hopping up and down, while Deeley said to Melanie, “I just got you a job, 20 percent.”

Choreographers working with the finalists this week were Doriana Sanchez, Stacey Tookey, Ray Leeper, Sonya Tayeh, Spencer Liff, Tessandra Chavez, Chuck Maldonado, Lil’ C, and “Dancing with the Stars” professional Mark Ballas making his “SYTYCD” debut.
