“Griezmann is a great player who is on another team, he is not in ours,” Valverde said.

‘I like our team very much.”

Valverde instead preferred to comment on his current playing squad – singling out Andres Iniesta’s performance against Deportivo.

“What can I say? I’m very lucky to be able to count on him in my team,” Valverde added.

”Today he started in a different position because of Deportivo’s qualities.

“Andres played billiga fotbollströja extremely well in that role.”

Next up for Barcelona is an El Clasico clash with Real Madrid on Saturday (12pm).

And Valverde is looking forward to an uninterrupted week of preparation before the showdown.

“We’re heading into the game happy,” he said.

“We have a week of preparation left and are confident.

“It’s a tough game against a huge rival, but we’re eager to face them.”
