(CBS) Elizabeth Banks is teaming up with action star Sam Worthington for “Man on a Ledge,” a new thriller with a plot  full  of twists  and turns.  We caught up with them at a special New York screening, where they spoke about the different levels  of this action-packed film.

“That’s one of the things that drew me to this movie…is that you think you’re watching one thing but you’re really watching something else,” Banks told us on the red carpet, “There’s a neat twist for the audience and there’s even an actual third twist, so it’s fun.”

In “Man on a Ledge,” Banks portrays Lydia, an NYPD negotiator with a dark past. Lydia is assigned to try to persuade a seemingly suicidal ex-cop (Worthington) into coming-down from a ledge on a high-rise hotel. No CGI was used here. These actors really had to stand 김해출장만남 hundreds of feet above ground, a special challenge for the acrophobic Worthington.

“[Sam] was afraid of heights, but he’s a very brave boy,” Banks said. “Frankly, it’s a gift for an actor. You should be afraid of being up there…It really enhanced his performance.”

Worthington added, “I’m more afraid of falling off and going splat, to be honest. And I think when you’re as high as we are at 200 feet anyone’s going to be nervous.”

The two stars said that they were strapped to harnesses during filming. Banks also mentioned that the straps were particularly painful  for some of the male cast members, but  Worthington said  he came prepared. “I’ve got my own body harness. I’ve done enough action movies so mine was very snug. Very form-fitting. It was perfect,” he revealed.

At least he didn’t have to worry about fit while facing his fears up on that ledge.
