It was withdrawn Wednesday in the Ontario Court of Justice at the request of a prosecutor, according to the Crown attorney’s office and Swanson’s lawyer.

“The Crown and I worked together in the best of all parties to resolve the matter,” Swanson attorney Constance Baran-Gerez said.

“I am thrilled and excited that the charge has been dropped,” Swanson said. “This never should have happened and our family can move on.”

The case stemmed from a June confrontation between Swanson and the ex-wife of her boyfriend and skating partner, Olympic medalist and former world champion pairs skater Lloyd Eisler. Swanson is a 37-year-old former Playboy model who starred in the 1992 film “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

2Britney Spears phoned in to Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show 102.7 KIIS FM on Wednesday to chat about her latest child custody troubles and her new album, “Blackout,” that hit stores this week.

When asked about media criticism, Britney Spears replied, “It’s sad how people … how cruel our world can be. But at the end of the day you got to know in your heart that you are doing the best that you can.”

Seacrest then asked if she felt she was doing the best she could with her sons. Spears quickly replied, “Oh God, yeah, yeah!”

Lance Bass Reveals He Was Married

3Lance Bass told E! News today that he was once married in a quick service in Las Vegas. Bass divulged the marriage while promoting his new book, “Out of Sync.”

Bass, who revealed this year that he is gay, said he married in “1999 or 2000” for “like 5 minutes.” He revealed the marriage was part a ploy to get free drinks for the night. It didn’t work, though. “We’re like, ‘we just got married,’ and they’re like, ‘ah, whatever’.”

Lance Bass said he is still close friends with his bride of five minutes.

Amy Winehouse Added To MTV Europe Music Awards

4Amy Winehouse has been added to this year’s “MTV Europe Music Awards 2007” lineup, MTV Networks announced. The award show takes place Nov. 1 in Munich. The show airs on MuchMusic at 7 p.m. ET, but fans can watch the broadcast live at MTV.ca at 4 p.m. ET.

The British singer and songwriter will be making her MTV debut with the appearance alongside such stars as Avril Lavigne, Foo Fighters, and will.i.am.

Since its release in March 2007, Winehouse’s “Back To Black” album debuted at the top slot on the UK charts and remains a fixture on the U.S. Billboard Top Albums.

“Don Vito” Margera Convicted For 블랙 잭 게임 Sexual Abuse

Vincent Margera, best known as “Don Vito” on the MTV show “Viva La Bama,” was convicted Wednesday on two counts of sexual assault on a child. Margera collapsed on the courtoom floor and shouted “just kill me now” after the decision was read.

Margera was accused of groping three girls, all between the ages of 12 and 14, during an autograph signing in a Denver suburb. He faces six years in prison for each of the convictions. His defense attorney had argued that Margera was performing as the outlandish Don Vito character.

Jefferson county deputies restrained Margera following the outburst and transported him to jail. Margera was being held without bail until his sentencing hearing, slated for Dec. 20.

Lane Garrison Gets 3 Years And 4 Months

Former “Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison was sentenced to three years and four months in prison Wednesday for a drunken driving crash that killed a teenager last December.

The 27-year-old actor could have received nearly seven years in prison.

Garrison was driving a 2001 Land Rover on Dec. 2 when he lost control and rammed a tree. The crash killed his passenger Vahagn Setian, a Beverly Hills High School student. Two 15-year-old girls riding in the car survived.

5Roberto Cavalli has confirmed, perhaps inadvertently, that Jennifer Lopez is pregnant.

Asked what types of clothing he designs for celebrities, the fashion designer told People magazine: “Well Jennifer Lopez, at this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby.”

His comment came after weeks of speculation, tabloid baby-bump pictures and raised eyebrows. Lopez, 39, has declined comment.

Brosnan Under Investigation for Battery

Pierce Brosnan is under investigation for battery after an alleged incident at a Mexican restaurant in Malibu, Calif. A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Steve Whitmore, said the former James Bond star allegedly committed battery Friday night outside the restaurant. Whitmore identified the alleged victim as Robert Rosen. Brosnan, 54, was not arrested or detained following the incident.

Commissioner Rules in Britney Custody Battle

A court commissioner ruled Tuesday that Britney Spears can have three monitored visits with her boys every week as long as she childproofs her home, has regular drug and alcohol tests, and makes sure the kids are buckled up in their car seats. The court-issued ruling includes quotes from a report by a parenting coach who visited Spears and her children on three occasions. The coach said that although Spears loves her children, the “environment at the house ranged from chaotic to almost somber with little communication at all.” The coach added that Spears “rarely engaged with the children in either conversation or play.”

Naomi Campbell Visits Venezuelan President

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is the latest celeb to visit Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez. The temperamental model met privately with Chavez at the presidential palace Tuesday. She told reporters there that she loves the country and its “great waterfalls,” but added that she was “not going to be political” during her chat with the president.

More Drama on “Dancing with the Stars”

Jane Seymour missed another results show of “Dancing With The Stars” Tuesday night. The actress was sickened by food poisoning and taken to the hospital, KABC-TV reports. Meanwhile, Sabrina Bryan – a favorite of the judges – was voted off the show. The Cheetah Girl had received some of the best scores of the season, but Monday night’s score of 25 out of 30 combined with the public’s votes wasn’t enough to keep her in the competition.

When Oprah Winfrey opened her all-girls academy in Johannesburg, South Africa, to give needy African girls a chance at a better life, she called it “the proudest, great day” of her life. Ten months later, Winfrey is begging parents for forgiveness. South African news site News24.com says Winfrey told families at an emergency meeting at the school, “I’ve disappointed you. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.” A spokesman says police are preparing a case to charge a dorm matron with abuse.
