We’d all like something for nothing and Barcelona are asking for a hell of a lot for very little. The La Liga champions are demanding nearly eight million Euros after the sale of a player that never played for them.

Transfers can be a complicated business, not like the way FIFA and early Maglie Calcio Poco Prezzo Championship Manager games had us believing, remember the ‘cheat’ on 03/04 that allowed you to sign any player loan listed for free? Happier times.

Barcelona’s gripe is with Santos and the sale of Gabriel Barbosa in the summer. On the surface you’d think that would have nothing to do with Luis Enrique’s side however, according to Mundo Deportivo, the club agreed to first dibs on the striker when they signed Neymar from Santos in 2013.

The first option that Barca claim to have was completely ignored in the summer as Inter sign Barbosa for 27.5 million euros and presumably the eight million is the Maglietta Calcio Napoli Bambino amount they paid for having first option.

The report in the Spanish newspaper also claims that Enrique’s side first option on Giva and Victor Andrade as part of the Neymar deal but presumably the Spanish team didn’t see value in signing either player with Giva at Ponte Preta and Andrade at Benfica.
