March has been a good month for Kermit Erasmus so far… He’s back in the Bafana Bafana setup, and – as of last night – top of the league in France.

The 26-year-old has played seven games in the Ligue 2 and the Coupe de France for Lens since making the move Maglia Dortmund on loan from Stade Rennais back in January, and looks to be getting his confidence back under the tutelage of Alain Casanova.

Erasmus was a second-half substitute for his side on Monday evening as they scored two late goals to beat Sochaux at home, a victory that took them top of the league with just nine games to go.

The battle for promotion into Ligue 1 is being hotly contended between Lens, Reims and Brest – all of whom sit on 49 points – and the former Orlando Pirates man will be happy to have contributed to their victory against Sochaux.

Now, with Maglia Calcio Inter just one game left before Erasmus returns to South Africa for the first time since leaving for France just over a year ago, the Bafana international will be eager to get on the scoresheet in a vital game against second-placed Reims prior to friendly encounters with Guinea-Bissau and Angola.
