(CBS) Due to continuing health problems, rapper Rick Ross has cancelled his concert at Georgia State University, according to a statement from the university. Ross suffered from two seizures last week.

“We are disappointed he had to cancel, but completely understand that Rick Ross needs to take care of his himself at this time. We hope he is better soon,” GSU concerts director George F. Baker III said in a statement to WSB-TV in Atlanta, Ga.

Baker added that it would take eight to 12 weeks to find a suitable replacement by Oct. 21, and that ticket holders can get a full refund at their point of purchase.

Ross was hospitalized twice on Oct. 14, forcing two planes he was on to divert due to medical issues. He was on his way to the University of Memphis to perform at a basketball event. Multiple sources, including the GSU statement, reported that Ross had suffered from seizures. Ross finally made it to Memphis on Oct. 16, where he was photographed by friend DJ Khaled, real name Khaled bin Abdul Khaled, at a local chicken joint. Khaled said on Twitter Ross was doing fine.

E! Online reports that Ross has a gig with Busta Rhymes scheduled at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. for 제천콜걸 Oct. 23. No word yet if that will go on as scheduled.
