The Champions League final on Saturday, May 26 in Kiev was an eventful night, featuring an accident-prone goalkeeper, epic goals, and a potentially dislocated shoulder.
Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3 – 1 in the Champions League final, with Gareth Bale scoring two of the three goals – one of which stunned fans, being the result of a bicycle kick.
Bale’s joy was palpable, diving to the ground after his first goal as he was piled on top of by his teammates.

With more than two decades at the peak of the game, Zidane has acquired his fair share of wealth from football.
Estimated to be worth around £52million, ($70million) Zidane had been one of the highest paid football managers in the world.
Real Madrid’s win was the third consecutive Champions League victory for head coach Zinedine Zidane, on top of one La Liga success since taking over in January 2016.
Zidane became Head Coach after Rafael Benitez was sacked, and had been in charge for 149 games.
His influence led Real to 104 wins and 29 draws, resulting in a 69.8 per cent win-rate and nine trophies for the club.
Despite this, the Spanish Leverkusen Fußballtrikots team came third in La Liga 2017-18, finishing 17 points behind winners and rivals Barcelona.
In February, the Frenchman said he would walk away from his position as Head Coach should he feel he had nothing left to give the team.
His decision to leave just five days after a third Champions League victory, however, has shocked fans.
Speaking to a news conference today, Zidane said, “Everything changes” which “ is why I took this decision.”
“I love this club,” he added. “What I think is that this team needs to continue winning but I think it needs a change, a different voice, another methodology.”
