(CBS) Okay, so the Metallica and Lou Reed collaboration might not have been something you would have pictured, but it’s definitely intriguing. Now, after months of teasing the public about the project, the musicians are streaming the entire album online on their official website.

Reed wrote the songs, while Metallica handled the arrangements.

“I don’t think we’ve ever felt this free,” Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone. “There’s nothing that’s totally outside of the boundary for us, nothing that feels like ‘Oh, what happens if we go there?’ The strength of (Reed and Metallica) is it feels like we cannot land on a wrong place.”

On the album, Metallica’s thrash-metal tendencies blend well with Reed’s husky, 정읍콜걸 well-worn rock vocals. The tracks are not something you would expect in either artist’s repertoire, making the partnership a unique-sounding, original project.

Previously, the musicians released the album cover art, which features the armless bust of a female mannequin, and 30 second clips of each song.
