Alex Boyd was ahead of the game when it came to chasing his dreams as a kid — and given his track record, you could say it’s paid off so far.

The handsome, blue-eyed soul/pop crooner is being compared to Grammy-winner John Legend and to Robin Thicke.

And Boyd, a McLean, Virginia-raised Hollywood resident, has been performing since he was seven, and has had the chance to dance with “Fame” icon Debbie Allen, sing with Patti LaBelle and act alongside Bruce Willis.

Now, he can check off his debut TV performance, in the “Second Cup Cafe” on “The Early Show on Saturday Morning.”

Boyd performed his lead single, “Light Up Tonight” from his debut album, “Commit Me,” which is due later this year. The album also features musician/actor Common. The single can be found, 천안콜걸 among other places, on iTunes.

While Boyd realized he had the vocal chops to make it in the entertainment industry, he discovered the meaning behind his talent with the help of producer/co-writer/arranger/keys Andy Rose. “Andy showed me how making music is supposed to feel. He showed me the only true way to create a lasting work of art. It all starts with honesty,” he says on his myspace page.
