It’s odd that we never saw Beautifly/Skitty after Rivals Forever. Do we know for sure that she has them with her now? –FabuVinny 09:10, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Small text?

Why do the tabs at the top have small text here? Is it just me? TTEchidna 07:52, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

No, its not you. This template is the problem. It causes all of May’s pokemon spiele erscheinungsjahr, c4 robot üye ol monstermmorpg (monster mmorpg),’s pages to be messed up, like this one! Can you do something, TTEchidna? Theryguy512 19:54, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

That should do it. You didn’t close all your tags. –DarkfireTaimatsu 20:01, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

New Template

Shouldn’t we use the new template which is also used for Ash’s Pokémon?–CitruX 02:43, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, but the wait is probably because of the uploading of all the sprites necessary for it…–Psyライダー☮ 02:44, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Why doesn’t Koga’s Venomoth have an article? Each Gym Leader gets an article for their most notable Pokémon, after all. I’m Missingno. Master. See my new and improved user page, and comment on it! 21:14, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

I tried to add one, it was deleted :(–Pokemonguy1 21:18, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

We’ll see about that, then. I’ll create the article and see what happens. I’m Missingno. Master. See my new and improved user page, and comment on it! 21:21, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

History

In Luvdisc is a Many Splendored Thing!, it was revealed that Misty and Daisy had both obtained Luvdisc of opposite genders, in the hope of using them in one of the Cerulean City Gym’s water ballets. Caserin was in love with Luverin, but Luverin completely ignored Caserin’s advances.

Meanwhile, Dr. Namba had concocted an evil scheme to rid the world of love and needed the two Luvdisc as his key components. To his aide, Butch and Cassidy were asked to steal the Luvdisc (in the original Japanese version, Dr. Namba only wanted them for his “R-project”, not mentioning anything about ridding the world of love at all). His plans were ruined, however, when Caserin and Luverin were able to cooperate and save each other. Seeing Caserin’s heroic acts, Luverin fell in love with him. Their mutual attraction finally allowed Daisy to complete her new show.

Personality and characteristics

Caserin was shown to be lovesick and easily saddened when Luverin would deny him. However, with Misty’s encouragement, Caserin was able to save both himself and Luverin, causing the latter to fall in love with him.

Trivia

Caserin was Misty’s first Generation III Pokémon.

Caserin is the only one of Misty’s Pokémon that never appeared in the main series.

Caserin is also Misty’s only Pokémon to have a confirmed gender.

Caserin and Luverin’s names are a play on both the name Catherine and the two syllables of Lovecus, the Japanese name of Luvdisc. Caserin also contains a part of Misty’s Japanese name, カス Kasu.

Along with Growlie and Snowy, Caserin is the only Pokémon owned by a main character that was ever nicknamed.

Mamie and her Glameow

Mamie (Japanese: マミイ Mamie) is a character of the day who appeared in For The Love Of Meowth.

Mamie is a traveling Pokémon Trainer who came across an unconscious Meowth after he had been separated from Jessie and James. When he came to, he fell head over heels in love with her Glameow. Jessie and James soon found him and thanked Mamie for looking after him. They then took their leave, dragging Meowth with them. A little while later, Mamie met up with Ash and his friends. She informed them that she was collecting Gym Badges, having previously challenged and lost to Crasher Wake. Then, as the gang and Mamie crossed a bridge, they fell in a trap set by Team Rocket, who took Glameow away from her.

Mamie was aided by Ash and his friends in the search for Glameow. They soon found Jessie and James, but they revealed that Meowth ran off with Glameow. When Meowth was found, he refused to give Glameow back to Mamie or surrender her to Team Rocket. When James accidentally hit Glameow with Carnivine’s Bullet Seed, she unexpectedly evolved into Purugly. No longer attracted to her, Meowth gave up Purugly, who returned to Mamie. She then commanded Purugly to use Hyper Beam on Team Rocket, sending them blasting off.

Mamie thanked Ash and the others before once again heading to Pastoria City to challenge Crasher Wake to a rematch.

Pokémon

Glameow → Purugly

After waking up, Meowth fell in love at first sight with a Glameow. Later on, after joining Jessie and James, Team Rocket tried to steal Glameow from its Trainer. Despite recalling Glameow back to its Poké Ball, Team Rocket was still successful in their attempt. That night, Meowth sent Glameow out of its Ball and fled with it, fearing that it would get hurt if it were to join him with Jessie and James.

After Jessie and James, as well as Ash, Dawn, Brock, and Mamie, managed to find Meowth, Meowth protected Glameow and managed to defeat several of the group’s Pokémon. However, after James’s Carnivine’s Bullet Seed managed to hit Glameow, it evolved into Purugly. Along with becoming much larger, Purugly now had a much more bossy personality and started to order Meowth about, as well as squishing him with its larger body. Meowth, in shock, lost the strength he gained and was quickly defeated. He then allowed Purugly to return to Mamie. After looking up Purugly’s moves on her Pokédex, Mamie had Purugly send Team Rocket blasting off.

Purugly was referred to as a female in the English dub only.

Purugly’s only known move is Hyper Beam.
