John Terry playing in another Premier League team’s kit seems like a ridiculous thought only possible in one of those weird fantasy articles. But it could become reality this summer.

John Terry is so synonymous with Chelsea that at this point I just assume that he bleeds blue. The Chelsea captain made his debut for the Stamford Bridge club at the turn of the century and has been there ever since.

The only time that he’s played in another shirt to Chelsea’s Leverkusen Fußballtrikot have been for England, 78 times, and six games for Nottingham Forest when on loan at the City Ground right at the beginning of his career.

But now Terry will leave Antonio Conte’s team at the end of the season with no new contract forthcoming. Unlike last season when the same seemed true this really is the end of the Chelsea line. But what next?

According to the Mirror Tony Pulis is eyeing a move for the 36 year old centre back and wants to bring him to West Brom, having already made an offer for him in January.

In January Pulis tried to strengthen his defence by making an offer for the Chelsea captain but he wanted to remain at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season, presumably to win a fifth league title.

Bournemouth were also interested in bringing the former England captain to the Vitality Stadium in January and Eddie Howe will likely make contact with the player Hamburger Fußballtrikot again at the end of the season.

The Mirror also reports that MLS sides are put off signing Terry because he would take up one of their designated player spots, which means a player’s wages exist outside of the wage cap, usually taken by attacking players.

The American league is also trying to find more up and coming talent rather than signing all the old timers for their one last pay out, like David Beckham, Steven Gerrard and Andrea Pirlo.
