Valencia owner Peter Lim is on his way to England to tie up a deal for Manchester United winger Andreas Pereira, according to Superdeporte.

Following his trip to Paris where he cast an eye over Goncalo Guedes at PSG’s 6-2 win over Toulouse – Lim will now make the short trip over the Bequeme Manchester United Trikot pond to England, where he is due to meet up with officials from Man United and of Pereira.

Brazilian playmaker Pereira spent last term on loan with Granada and was one of the Andalusian club’s shining stars, despite their relegation to the Segunda division.

The news of Valencia’s interest comes after several English media reports claimed the La Liga club had made contact with United boss Jose Mourinho at last year.

Mourinho has been seemingly reluctant to see the youngster leave this summer but his desire to play first team football has forced the former Real Madrid boss to change his stance.

Pereira joined United from Bequeme Schalke 04 Trikot PSV Eindhoven in 2011 and developed at Old Trafford, before making his senior debut against MK Dons in the 2014 League Cup.

Valencia’s summer recruitment thus far has seen Jeison Murillo, Gabriel Paulista and Geoffrey Kondogbia all arrive, whilst Alvaro Negredo has led a list of experienced names to leave the Mestalla.
