New Leicester City manager Claude Puel is already lining up his first signing, and it’s a pretty big one.

Following the sacking of Craig Shakespeare, the Foxes hired the former Southampton gaffer. The 56-year-old took his first management job outside of France in 2016, though lasted just one season.

Despite penning a three-year deal, Puel’s contract was 'terminated with immediate effect.' He guided the Monaco Fußballtrikot Saints to an eighth place finish while reaching the League Cup final against Manchester United.

But he’s back in the Premier League with Leicester City, and he’s targeting new signings with the January transfer window nearing upon managers across the league.

According to reports, Puel is interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Hatem Ben Arfa. The French winger is deemed surplus to requirement by Unai Emery with the player reportedly open to a return to England.

Since Ben Arfa has fallen down the pecking order, he’s been heavily linked with a move away. Newcastle United are also keeping tabs on his situation in view to a St. James Park reunion.

But Puel is hoping their previous stint together at Nice will lure him to the King Power Marseille Fußballtrikot Stadium, instead of a return to the North East.

Puel managed the Ligue 1 outfit between 2012 to 2016, with Ben Arfa playing under him for one season in 2015.

Ben Arfa excelled under Puel, playing 34 league games weighing in with an impressive 17 goals.

The following campaign he completed a switch to the French capital, but it appears his days with PSG are numbered.
